The Terraces at Capitol Village in Harrisburg celebrated National Centenarian’s Day on September 22 by honoring their centenarian residents: Sara Tritt, Bess Gorelick, and William Apple, aged 103, 101, and 102, respectively. The senior living community seized the opportunity to learn from these remarkable individuals who have lived through significant historical events. Their advice to today’s youth was to take care of each other, be kind and helpful, resolve disagreements through communication, stay informed about the world, and listen to their elders. The community found inspiration in their rich and fascinating life stories, offering age-in-place support and services as needed.
